This past weekend, the Florida trail riders community gathered in Brooksville, Florida, for the much-anticipated Mondon Hill race, and FCS Racing had an outstanding performance. The air was buzzing with excitement as riders geared up as this one is always a favorite of the Florida Trail Riders race series. Record-high numbers in attendance indicated a growing interest in this event as per the norm, promising another round of packed racing action.
One standout from the weekend was Tristan Lasure, who lined up in Peewee C, ready to take on the second half of the race season. Despite a challenging start and adapting to a new gas Cobra 50 (changed from his KTM E5), Tristan showcased his determination, finding his groove halfway through the race and securing an impressive 12th place overall out of 27 riders. The peewee riders, undeterred by Friday night storms and Saturday rain, displayed fantastic form as row after row eagerly lined up for the race.
From the perspective of FCS Racing, a key observation was the seamless organization and volunteer efforts by the Florida Trail Riders. Despite the continuous growth in entries, there were no visible hitches, and positive feedback echoed through the crowd. While FCS Racing primarily focused on the peewee side of the competition, reports of smooth operations and positive experiences also surfaced from the main track, further solidifying the overall success of the weekend.
In a surprising twist, this weekend’s race witnessed more than just fierce competition; it was also the backdrop for the union of Chuck Conte and Joannie Moisanant. FCS Racing proudly played host to their wedding ceremony, marking the first time a wedding has been held at the races. Amidst the roar of 2 strokes and the thrill of the race, friends and fellow racers joined in the celebration as Charles “Chuck” Conte and Joannie Moisanant officially became Mr. & Mrs. Conte. The joyous occasion was marked by the sharing of cake and a collective fun in the union of two racing enthusiasts.
Beyond the racing tracks, the weekend offered a chance for families and friends to come together. Campers dotted the landscape on Saturday night, creating a picturesque scene with campfires playing a scene of Anaheim 1 Monster Energy Supercross. It was a great way to kick off the new year, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating the next race.
As FCS Racing reflects on the weekend’s successes, we extend heartfelt gratitude to their sponsors whose support enables us to thrive in the racing community.

In closing, the Florida Trail Riders’ Mondon Hill race not only provided a platform for thrilling racing but also witnessed the union of two of its own. FCS Racing and the entire racing community are eager to carry this momentum forward into the upcoming races, fueled by the spirit of competition, camaraderie, and fun. See you at the next race!
