What is the driving force, the purpose of FCS Racing?
I get this question quite often. It’s a great question. Why would I spend so many hours dedicated to marketing a dirt bike team? Writing up articles on flights and vacation and working on data inputs in early mornings before heading into the office for my regular 9-5 job. Well, quite simply passion is the reason. My team is passionate about their dedication to not just the sport but to bettering themselves in multiple aspects. Educating themselves to eat better, train harder and break through to find a cutting edge strand of performance no one has yet discovered in the industry. I was once told by an entrepreneur advisor and personal friend who’s company was partners in building the skyline that soars across New York City, USA. Buildings like the Empire State and BOA along with many more. His words were simple. Never be ordinary. Always do what’s unexpected. With that in mind in our business ventures outside of racing we use FCS Racing to reach for the stars and try to accomplish a team fielded with national champions. Not for a bragging right or showmanship but to simply look into a tough competitive sport and say we unlocked the code for a new strand of success within.
I want to see these riders push the limits of what others think to be possible and come out so high on top it’s nothing short of remarkable. To win races it has been said many times you win on weekdays not on weekends. With that in mind team riders selected for our program will embark on a mental and physical training regiment while maintaining personal life education and home values. What does this mean? It means a lot of early mornings, long runs, seat time and focus on what we put into our body and mind. In the military and after I have always been very aware and present focused on who I surround myself with and what I let influence me. This is not even getting into my kids. I won’t watch movies and listen to music that spawns depression and negative behaviors. I want to be inspired and to clearly think of what is ahead. This also often is found with systematic thinking. I want to outline the recipe for this formula. Great riders such as Jesse Ansley, Cody Webb, Colton Hacker and many more didn’t just go ride and ride and become great. They worked on identifying their weaknesses and defining the key areas to target and move forward. It’s actually a very step by step process. This is also of course mixed with natural talent but to get to that top level it requires a lot of research and development.
So when I look at the driving force of the team I am looking at where can we work harder and put in more input, effort and direction into our riders to take them to that next level. 2019-2020 will be an amazing year to follow FCS Racing and see 4 young riders in various fields push their limits and their machines to become top riders in their field. Thanks for following us and we truly love our fans as you see a team built on strong principals push not just themselves but a sport farther into the spotlight of our world!
